Actor Karthi and director PS Mithran have confirmed the sequel to ‘Sardar’ at a success meet in Chennai. At the meeting, the makers showed a clip from the ending of the film and announced that the story of Sardar will continue in ‘Sardar: Part 2’. The makers also revealed that Karthi and Mithran are ready to begin the shoot of the sequel soon.
The success of Sardar has paved way for the sequel. Karthi and Mithran have confirmed that they will retain the brilliant technical team of the first film to work on the sequel. The sequel is expected to hit the theaters in the second half of 2023. The cast for the sequel has yet to be finalized.
In addition, Karthi and PS Mithran have confirmed that the sequel to Sardar will commence shooting next year. The film will also star Kamal Haasan and is a part of the Lokesh Kanagaraj cinematic universe.
